Abstract 

Seeing increasing numbers of air pollution that causes global warming (Global warming) and the lack of attention to the harmful gases such as CO, NO, NO2 can lead to death if if it was ignored by those who breathe it, and the rapid technological advances that are not accompanied by ability to overcome the negative impact of technological advances made many of these negative impacts harming the people in it. Designing a data logger equipment to detect toxic gases such as CO (carbon monoxide) and NOx (nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, etc.) using AVR Microcontroller Type ATMega16, which is a powerful Microcontroller with complete components inside along with two sensors become a source of input data in the form of pollutant is CO gas sensor using a type of gas sensor TGS 2442 and TGS 2201 NOx using type. Form the pollutant data entry and then read by the sensors to the ADC port on the microcontroller, analog data in the form of heat generated heater resistance value which is processed to be later converted to values in units of ppm (parts per million). With the existence of this tool is expected to improve awareness of the environment surrounding especially toxic substances such as CO, NO, NO2 etc. So avoid things that harm humans who breathe it as well as chip microcontroller multipurpose utilization of the present proved very helpful in the development and progress, especially the world of technology. And examples of real implementations are still many more that could be exploited as much as possible from a microcontroller.

Pendahuluan 

Kemajuan teknologi informasi seolah-olah membuat semua orang dapat melakukan apa saja sesuai keinginan. Dengan tersedianya berbagai macam bentuk sarana-sarana penunjang, kini masyarakat memiliki pilihan yang lebih banyak lagi dalam melakukan yang diinginkannya. Saat ini dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari manusia tidak pernah lepas dari aktivitasnya untuk berinteraksi dengan banyak fasilitas-fasilitas yang membantu kinerja manusia, tapi dilain sisi fasilitas-fasilitas tersebut justru menimbulkan hal negatif pada diri manusia sendiri, seperti halnya kendaraan bermotor dan alat mesin pada suatu industri, yang mana produk-produk ini juga menimbulkan polusi udara yang sangat merugikan dan membahayakan nyawa setiap manusia yang menghirupnya.
