Abstract 

The problem which is discussed in this final assignment is about the way to promote tourism sector in Kebumen Regency. So far, Kebumen Regency is not a main destination for tourists. Kebumen is just a place to transit and rest when they are tired. When people go to Jakarta from Surabaya or the other way, they just passed Kebumen. Even some of them do not know Kebumen Regency. The worse part, the promotion which has been done by Dinas Parsenibud in the form of web is still joining with Kebumen Regency’s web. The other ways are just by brochures and leaflets which can be seen while the exhibition is held. This condition makes tourism objects become slack and need to get more attention in the field of promotion. The up to date interactive CD become the breakthrough to promote tourism in Kebumen Regency. The challanging which should be faced by the author is able to make an up to date interactive CD. So, Kebumen Regency can be one of tourism icon in Central Java. The author used Adobe Flash CS4 as the main software to make this interactive CD because it can animate pictures to be more interacting. The up to date interactive CD can be realize through this software as well. The author used the simple way in creating this Interactive CD of tourism media promotion in Kebumen Regency to be the up to date promotion.

Pendahuluan 

Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dewasa ini berkembang sangat cepat, khususnya di bidang teknologi informasi. Perkembangan di bidang teknologi informasi ini sangat mendukung dalam perkembangan sektor-sektor lainnya, seperti perdagangan, pendidikan, komunikasi, perindustrian, pariwisata, dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu fungsi teknologi informasi bagi sektor pariwisata yaitu sebagai media iklan dan promosi. Sebagai contoh penerapan teknologi multimedia dalam bidang iklan dan promosi yaitu dalam bentuk peta pariwisata digital, kios informasi, CD interaktif dan website.
