Abstract
Current information technology developments is very rapidly and produce new innovations along with the development of human throught patterns are constanly evolving towards a better. One significant development is the computer and information technology, especially the building commercial in 2D animation is very interesting. Increased amount of patients with Dengue Fever in Indonesua within the last 10 years rapidly, disease transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito making many casualties. Prevention and education about this disease are crucial because many hadn’t understood the dangers of this disease. Therefore the author wants to building public service commercial in 2D animation that shaped the community more receptive to information about dengue and how to stop. In building an animated commercial, only composer to limit in certain areas such as how to design animated public service commercial as interesting information for the community. Software that is used in building public service commercial in 2D animation includes Adobe Photoshop 7, Adobe Premiere an Cool Edit Pro.
Pendahuluan
Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang utama di Indonesia. Penyakit DBD pertama kali ditemukan pada tahun 1968 di Surabaya dan sekarang menyebar keseluruh propinsi di Indonesia. Sejak Januari sampai dengan 5 Maret 2004 total kasus DBD di seluruh propinsi di Indonesia sudah mencapai 26.015 orang, dengan jumlah kematian sebanyak 389 orang. Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue atau Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue yang ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes Aegypti dan Aedes Albopictus. Kedua jenis nyamuk ini hamper terdapat di seluruh pelosok Indonesia, kecuali di tempat-tempat ketinggian dari 1000 meter di atas permukaan laut.
